Hi! My name is Ellyn, owner of Embrace Occupational Therapy, LLC., board certified pediatric occupational therapist, certified infant massage instructor, and infant family specialist candidate. Throughout my career I’ve worked in a variety of settings with an emphasis in pediatrics, including the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), mom baby unit, pediatric home health and early intervention.
Alongside all of that, I am first and foremost a mom. Not too long ago I was a first time mother who found herself in the midsts of all things parenthood. I found the dichotomy that came with motherhood overwhelming. Experiencing the highest of highs of being a new mom, all while experiencing the anxiety and uncertainty all at the same time.
My business was rooted from a deep passion in the work that I do, combined with my own personal journey into motherhood. I strongly believe that you are the expert of your child. Does that mean you don’t have questions? No. Does that mean you don’t have doubts? Also no. I believe that your gut-feeling instincts matter and I am here to remind you, you don’t have to wait for permission to get the support you deserve.
A little bit more about Ellyn
I grew up in Iowa and moved to Colorado after grad school in 2017 with my husband. Together, we are raising our eighteen month old daughter and rescue dog. When I’m not working, I enjoy listening to audiobooks/podcasts, spending time outside whether exploring our beautiful mountains or walking around the neighborhood, traveling with my family, and taking a yoga or barre class.
